There are many ways to get involved with BADC besides competing, and we welcome anyone who wants to contribute to our beloved event!

Donate!

In recent years, funding for our club from Columbia has been on a sharp decline, and we are relying on donations now more than ever before. Monetary gifts are tax-deductible and go towards funding lessons, registration and travel to competitions, as well as for hosting BADC. If you can, please donate to Ballroom Dance Club Gift to help us continue bringing ballroom dance to Columbia! Note: if you do donate, please take the time to fill out this very brief survey on your gift (it is anonymous if you wish!) - the team does not receive regular updates on the status of donations, so this is how we try to keep track!

Sponsor!

To support the considerable costs of running a large competition, we are offering the opportunity for businesses and individuals to sponsor our event. These sponsorships can take any number of forms, from advertising your brand to our hundreds of participants to offering services day of (ex. makeup and hairstyling) to providing prize money or registration vouchers for our finalists. Contact badc.columbia@gmail.com if you are interested in this opportunity.

Volunteer!

An event as big as BADC requires a lot of manpower, and our mighty team of volunteers and housing hosts is essential to its success! Volunteering gives you behind-the-scenes, hands-on experience with running a competition, as well as unique opportunities to make connections within the ballroom community. We offer some registration discounts and other incentives for volunteering and hosting competitors, so if you are interested, we will open a form closer to the competition. If you have any questions, please email us at badc.columbia@gmail.com.

Spectate!

We will be charging for competition spectating and the evening session. Cheering for the dancers on the floor creates an electrifying atmosphere, and we highly encourage everyone to invite your friends and family, or anyone who might be interested in ballroom, to come out in support!
