We plan to offer limited free housing to competitors. The form IS CLOSED. For general questions, please contact badc.housing@gmail.com

Free housing slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with additional priority given to teams traveling farther distances.

Please note that the housing we provide is typically reserved for competitors or teams who cannot find alternative accommodations. Demand for housing is very high every year, and all of our hosts are volunteers and fellow competitors. This means that you may need to sleep on someone’s floor in a sleeping bag, or stay with a host who lives a 1-hour commute from the venue. We urge you to uphold your commitment to being housed by a volunteer and not cancel last-minute as your slot could have gone to someone else.

All competitors who receive housing slots are asked to sign in agreement to our guidelines around housing policy, as well as safety, accessibility, and conduct.

Housing Etiquette and Rule Guidelines

Please keep your host updated about what time you will be arriving and what time you will be leaving.

Stay in communication with your host, they may OR MAY NOT have sleeping arrangements for you (pillows, sleeping bags, etc), so please prepare accordingly.

When leaving the space, bring all of the belongings you anticipate needing to minimize the host needing to run back and forth to sign or let you in.

Anything you bring in, must be brought out with you. Leave no mess or garbage in the room or the bathroom.

Don’t touch your host’s personal belongings unless otherwise specified (this includes beds, desks, closets, drawers, etc).

Please respect your host’s quiet hours, especially if they live in a student dorm.

Don’t leave your things blocking a path for fire safety issues.

No illegal activities or substances.

Please respect any additional reasonable expectations your host may have (if they are not reasonable please reach out to us).

Generally, be kind to your host, they are doing you a favor.
